Emily Blunt has tackled a number of genres, including comedy, thriller, and horror. This time around she’s going Western, starring in the six-part miniseries The English, reports BBC Media Centre.
In August, a first look photo of her in character was released and now we get to see her in action, with the recently released trailer:

The story revolves around an aristocratic woman (Blunt) who travels from England to the U.S. in 1890. There, she meets a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout (Chaske Spencer) and the two “cross a violent landscape,” with the goal of getting to Hoxem, Wyoming.
It seems they are brought together for a reason, with the synopsis reading: “Both of them have a clear sense of their destiny, but neither is aware that it is rooted in a shared past. They must face increasingly terrifying obstacles that will test them to their limits, physically and psychologically.”
Once arriving to their planned destination, they face further struggles. There’s been a series of unsolved murders, which somehow involves their shared history.
The English is set to premiere in the U.K. via BBC Two on November 10. You can look for the series stateside over at Amazon Prime on November 11.
