It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Gerard Butler on-screen. He starred in 2019’s Angel Has Fallen and 2020’s Greenland, but things have been a little quiet since then. And that’s about to change…
He’s completed filming on Plane, starring opposite Mike Colter (Luke Cage). Butler stars as a commercial plane pilot, Captain Brodie Torrance, who is forced to make an emergency landing due to weather conditions. The pilot and passengers find themselves in a war zone.
A pilot may be trained on how to navigate the sky, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to land. Even so, this pilot rises to the occasion, making his way through a treacherous jungle:

Colter takes on the role of a captured fugitive. He is being transported by the FBI. On the land, he and the Torrance team up to rescue passengers who have been taken hostage by terrorists.
In the above clip, we hear Torrance say, “They’re my passengers. They are my responsibility.” That is commitment. And… loyalty. Plane is based on Charles Cumming’s book and is directed by Jean-François Richet.
We have a good feeling about this one. What about you?
