You may remember Jessica Biel from the family drama Seventh Heaven, which premiered in 1997 and ran through 2007. More recently, we saw her in the 2017 thriller series The Sinner.
She’s now signed on for a new project, set to star in the forthcoming limited series Candy, reports ComingSoon.net.
The five-part series will air five nights in a row, over at Hulu, with the title pulled from the name of the woman it centers around, Candy Montgomery. The story kicks off in 1980, where we meet Candy. She’s married, has two children and is living the typical suburban life. It was possibly too typical for her.
According to the description, “the pressure of conformity builds within her," which results in “deadly results.”
The first look trailer does some backtracking. Candy starts off as a supportive friend, but then she has an affair with her friend’s husband. Her friend (Melanie Lynskey) then ends up dead.

When Candy is called out for sleeping with a married man, she says, “I know. But, don’t I deserve more?” Clearly, there's more to the story, which will be revealed on May 9, when Candy premieres.
What do you think of the look of this so far?
