When we think of Josh Gad, we think of Frozen, because his performance as an animated ice creature with a heart of gold was just that good.
But, of course, there is more to this actor’s CV, like starring in 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.
And now he’s adding to his body of work, heading to the small screen and starring in Wolf Like Me, opposite Isla Fisher, reports ComingSoon.net.
The two are set to take on the lead roles, and the story kicks off with Gad’s character. Gad portrays Gary, a single dad who just lost his wife. According to the description, he is an “emotional wreck” and is struggling to get through to his daughter.
But, something happens to change all that. Something… big.
That’s where Fisher’s character Mary comes in. And, she comes into their life in quite a way.
In the newly released trailer, Mary slams into their car, causing quite a scare.
Mary follows up with the dad and daughter duo to apologize and check in. From there, Mary and Gary start seeing each other, with Gary saying to his new love interest, “I find it very easy to be in your company. Do you know that?”
It’s not easy to find a connection like that, but their's is cut short when Mary runs away from him in the middle of their date. Mary has a secret, but she can’t bring herself to divulge what it is.
While it’s not 100 percent clear what she's hiding, the folks over at Peacock have dropped some hints = the name of the series is Wolf Like Me, the genre is supernatural, and in the above trailer, she locks herself behind a steel door (we’re guessing for safety) as she's perhaps about to morph into something not entirely human.
But, that’s all speculation, we may be wrong (that she’s part wolf) and will have to wait for the premiere, which is happening on January 13.
