We're getting another Liam Neeson action flick, with him set to star in the forthcoming The Ice Road, according to Empire Online.
Going into a Neeson flick, we feel like we know what to expect. But, this time it seems a bit different, with The Ice Road revolving around Neeson working as a big rig driver. When a diamond mine collapses, he's called on to help save the day.
Okay, it's sounding a little familiar... but, this time around, Neeson's character battles natural elements, not a kidnapper, as seen in earlier movies.
Set in Canada, he'll have to drive over a frozen ocean to get to the accident site, in hopes of saving the trapped miners before they run out of air. On the way, he's overwhelmed by a storm.
Is he going to make it in time!? Probably, if this sticks to Neeson's action flick formula. But, even so, we're up for the ride:
We do hear a zinger of a one-liner, with Neeson realizing his mission has been sabotaged, saying, "This is personal, now I'm angry."
Also in the trailer, we learn there is a cover-up happening, so there is a criminal element as well.
Luckily, he's not going it alone. You can look for Laurence Fishburne as his supervisor and Amber Midthunder as his co-driver.
The Ice Road is set to premiere on Netflix on June 25.
