Ralph Fiennes has signed up for a new role, starring in director Mark Mylod’s The Menu, reports Empire online.
He’s set to portray a high-end chef who caters to elitist guests at a remote resort. You can also look for Nicholas Hoult and Anya Taylor-Joy as a young couple taking part in the dining experience. Hoult’s character is brought to tears and Joy’s character… not so much.
The first look clip starts off intense and it spikes from there:
Sure, the chef, his staff, and the guests are all pretty hoity-toity. But, there’s more to this story. It’s not quite clear from the trailer, but it seems like there is a hunt and one of the guests might be appearing on the menu soon. If that's the case, being pretentious doesn’t call for murder.
We shall see if our suspicions are correct when the movie premieres on November 18.
This new role gives us a new perspective on his Harry Potter character “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.”
