There's been some back and forth over whether or not there would be another Paddington movie — "Will they?"/ "Won't they?" and as of yesterday... they will!

It's not to say that can't change, but we'll go with it, at least for now.

StudioCanal, the production company behind the franchise, has confirmed a third movie is in the works, reports Variety. 

The statement reads: "We can confirm StudioCanal is working very hard on film three with the utmost craft and care, as with films one and two.”

Just last week, Hugh Bonneville, who starred in the 2014 original film and its 2017 sequel, was chatting about a third movie with The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, saying there was "forward momentum” and that it was “somewhere on the horizon.”

While Bonneville's comments are vague, it definitely gets the rumor mill churning and we appreciate StudioCanal stepping in.

If you're not familiar with the story of Paddington, he is a Peruvian bear who finds himself in London, England, all alone. But, luckily, he crosses paths with the Brown family, who take him in, as seen in the first movie.

Bonneville takes on the role of Henry Brown, with Sally Hawkins starring as his wife, Mary Brown.

The movies are based off of the stories by Michael Bond, who first introduced this lovable bear to the world in 1958.
