Former showrunner Steven Moffat was the lead writer for Doctor Who from 2005-2017. He's once again sat down to write another story about the alien Time Lord, called "The Terror of the Umpty Ums."

The story starts out with a hologram named Karpagnon, in the form of a 12-year-old boy named David. He appears to be under two doctors' watch. It's not clear why he needs medical attention, but as the story progresses, we learn his plan is to escape within 2.7 hours and destroy all humans in the installation before departure.

Karpagnon is notified by his Sensory Filter that one of the doctor's is sweating, indicating he has fear.

Another voice says to him, "And a big bottom." WHO said that? The female voice goes on, "I mean you wouldn’t expect it from the front, but then he turns round and boom!" Hmm, we recognize that zestful humor.

It's the Thirteenth Doctor, she's arrived to save the day. Or, at least we hope so.

The writing hints at the current situation a lot of people are in, being home and restless. Apparently the Doctor is not immune, explaining why she went into Karpagnon's head, saying, "I got bored, you see. Thought I do a bit of housekeeping, long as I’m here. Love a bit of rewiring, me, and I get bored when I’m asleep. I can’t be doing with all that sleeping, there’s too many planets. What if you sleep and miss a whole planet. Nightmare, yeah?"

The Doctor is talking to the hologram through an earpiece. When she finally introduces herself, "I'm the Doctor!" he is shook. He has not been programmed for this kind of surprise, exclaiming, "Heard of her?? “The Ka Faraq Gatri." The oncoming storm, the bringer of darkness, the imp of the Pandorica! The final victor of the Time War.”
