Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox Swapped Marvel Characters for Halloween

Today is Halloween, and Halloween means spookiness, trick or treating, and of course costumes. Actors Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Cox, who are currently appearing together in a Broadway revival of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, celebrated a day early by swapping Marvel characters last night.

Hiddleston dressed up as Daredevil, the character Cox played in a now-canceled Netflix series, while Cox got into costume as Loki, Hiddleston's character from the Thor and Avengers movies. Check out some clips and pictures shared by delighted fans on social media.

Both actors smashed their looks, but Cox deserves special kudos for being such a good sport. He actually auditioned to play Loki in the original Thor movie, but lost out to Hiddleston.

But, if the Loki costume that Cox wore yesterday belongs to Hiddleston, it's safe to presume it's only on loan. Hiddleston is set to reprise his M.C.U. role in a new Loki series coming to the Disney+ streaming service in spring 2021.

Speaking about the series at San Diego Comic-Con in July, Hiddleston teased: "You guys saw Avengers, right? So he’s still that guy. And just about the last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk smashed. So there’s a lot of psychological evolution that is still yet to happen."
