'Unbreakable' and 'Split' Characters Unite in New Film 'Glass'

M. Night Shyamalan's new film Glass will bring together three characters from his previous films. Get ready to see James McAvoy's Kevin Wendell Crumb (aka the Horde from last year's Split) on screen with Bruce Willis’ David Dunn and Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass, both from 2000's Unbreakable.

Here's a look at all three in character, released last night (April 25) at Universal CinemaCon:

So where are all these gentleman nowadays? In an asylum. That doesn't seem like a great fit for Dunn, but the other two... that sounds about right.

Plot details for Glass were also released yesterday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and we learned that Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) will play a psychiatrist who helps people “delusions of grandeur.” In other words, anyone who believes they have superhero abilities.

Well, what if they actally do have superhuman abilities like we've seen in the earlier films?

Mr. Glass for one is not backing down, saying in the new trailer (it's not online yet), "I have been waiting for the world to see that we exist."

Hmm, they'll have to get out of the asylum first. We're intrigued to see if they accomplish this — and how the story plays out from there.

We can also look for Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, who reprises her role from Split. Also, Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother from Unbreakable.

Glass will hit theaters on January 19, 2019.

Are you excited to see these characters on screen together?
