WATCH: Colin Firth Stars as British Intelligence in 'Operation Mincemeat' Trailer

The folks making Operation Mincemeat have been hard at work, with filming completed and a first look trailer just released.
Inspired by a true story, the wartime drama, directed by John Madden, stars Colin Firth, opposite Matthew Macfadyen and Jason Isaacs, reports ComingSoon.net.
Set during World War II, the story revolves around two members of British Intelligence, who come up with a plan to deceive German troops. The scheme consists of obtaining a corpse, dressing him as an officer and planting misleading information on the body for their enemies to find and believe to be true.
Firth is set to portray real-life officer Ewen Montagu, who co-planned Operation Mincemeat.
In the new clip, we hear Firth as Montagu say, “We are going to play a humiliating trick on Hitler.

Operation Mincemeat will release in the U.K. on January 7, with a U.S. premiere date still to come, but once confirmed, you can look for it over at Netflix.
