Dame Helen Mirren delivered a heartfelt and hilarious acceptance speech at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, dedicating her Life Achievement Award to her fellow actors.

During the speech, Mirren gave a sweet shout-out to fellow Brits Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, Michaela Coel, Kelly Reilly, Vanessa Kirby and Killing Eve's Jodie Comer.

"I joined our tribe of rogues and vagabonds a long time ago and it is you actors that I want to thank. Your perception, your emotional generosity, your great intelligence, your incredible energy, and your helpless dedication to our chosen profession," she said.

She also said that her personal "mantra" throughout her career has always been: "Be on time and don't be an ass." Mirren, 76, went on to poke gentle fun at herself by saying: "I hate to say the word 'SAG' at my age – it's always 'S-A-G' for me."
