WATCH: Daniel Craig and Chris Evans in Trailer for Murder-Mystery Movie 'Knives Out'
Are you ready for Daniel Craig as you've never seen — or heard — him before? The James Bond actor shows off a super-committed Southern accent in the first trailer for Knives Out, an upcoming murder-mystery movie from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Rian Johnson.
Written and directed by Johnson, the film's premise definitely owes a debt to the late, great Agatha Christie. Craig plays Detective Benoit Blanc, who's summoned to investigate the murder of renowned crime novelist Harlan Thombrey (Christopher Plummer) at his 85th birthday party.
The suspects include Thombrey's spoiled grandson (Chris Evans), loyal nurse (Blade Runner 2049's Ana de Armas), and other family members played by Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford.
They all appear in the trailer alongside Atlanta actor Lakeith Stanfield, who plays a fellow cop working on the case alongside Craig's detective.

Knives Out opens in theaters November 29. It's Craig's first movie since Kings, a 2017 romantic drama co-starring Halle Berry.
He's currently shooting Bond 25 at various locations in the U.K., Norway, Italy, and Jamaica.
The movie, which has the working title Shatterhand, also stars his Knives Out co-star Ana de Armas. He's joined in the movie as well by Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Léa Seydoux, and Rami Malek as the main villain.
Bond 25 / Shatterhand is now set for release on April 8, 2020.
