WATCH: Hugh Grant and Matthew McConaughey Go Full Guy Ritchie in Action-Packed 'The Gentlemen' Trailer
Guy Ritchie has given us all an early Christmas present in the form of a new trailer for his crime comedy movie The Gentlemen.
The trailer gives us a further glimpse of Matthew McConaughey's character, Mickey Pearson, a suave American expat who's built a super-lucrative marijuana empire in London. We also see more of Hugh Grant's character, Fletcher, a slippery private investigator who's trying to gather as much information as possible on Pearson.
Co-stars Colin Farrell, Michelle Dockery, Eddie Marsan, Charlie Hunnam, and Henry Golding all appear too, and there's a generous helping of gun-wielding action in the vein of Ritchie's breakthrough movies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

Ritchie has called the movie "a return to his roots" and spoken about his positive experience working with Grant, who is playing against-type in a role very different from his usual upper-crust English gents.
“I think Hugh Grant is a better actor than Hugh Grant thinks he is," Ritchie told Total Film. "Now, he hasn’t said that to me, but I am immensely confident of his ability, his intelligence, and the roles which he takes. Hugh has his spin on things, and it’s a sophisticated spin. I just like watching him, and I like working with him, and I wish he’d work more.”
The Gentlemen opens in the U.K. on New Year's Day before getting a U.S. release on January 24. Bring it on!
