We highly enjoyed Jillian Bell in 2019's Britanny Runs a Marathon, which is a comedic rite of passage movie, where the lead character works to get her life together.
Bell is taking on a new role, as a fairy godmother named Eleanor, looking after someone else in the forthcoming Disney movie Godmothered. To be more exact, she's a fairy godmother-in-training.
And, who is her charge? Eleanor comes across a letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress. But when she goes to find her, it turns out the little girl, Mackenzie, is now 40. She's a single mom, working at a news station.
Mackenzie is over-stressed and has given up on true happiness, just plugging away... that's where Eleanor come in.
Does this fairy godmother have what it takes to make Mackenzie believe?
See for yourself with the new trailer:
Bridget Jones's Diary Sharon McGuire directs, working off of a screenplay by Kari Granlund (Lady and the Tramp) and Melissa Stack (The Other Woman).
You can look for Godmothered on December 4.
We're getting an Enchanted vibe, but in reverse: what do you think?
