Letitia Wright and Josh O'Connor are two of the U.K.'s brightest acting talents, and they've teamed up for the emotional-looking movie Aisha.
Wright (Small Axe, Black Panther) plays the title character, a young Nigerian woman seeking asylum in Ireland. The trailer gives a glimpse of the prejudice, bureaucratic obstacles, and physical indignities she encounters along the way. What's also highlighted in the trailer, is the friendship she forms with Conor (The Crown's O’Connor), an empathetic employee at her residence home. According to the synopsis, Conor has "a troubled past of his own."
Aisha is written and directed by Frank Berry, who previously made the acclaimed Irish prison movie Michael Inside. It's due to open in U.K. theaters on November 18, though U.S. release details have yet to be confirmed.

Wright fans can also catch her in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the hotly anticipated superhero sequel that opens on November 11. O'Connor has recently finished shooting Challengers, a sports comedy movie from director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name) that co-stars Zendaya. It's due out next August.
