We regularly cover TV series set in England, Scotland and Ireland. And now... to hit all the hot spots in the U.K., the BBC series Hidden, set in Wales, is streaming on Acorn TV.

The first season revolves around two detectives, DI Cadi John (Sian Reese-Williams) and DS Owen Vaughan (Siôn Alun Davies), who are investigating a body that is found in a lake in Snowdonia. It turns out the young woman had gone missing five years prior when she was 16.

If you haven't had a chance to watch the above trailer, it is dead creepy, with the teenager's captor saying, "I will take care of you."

Heading into season two, the detectives return for another case, but the scenario is switched around. A retired teacher turns up dead and three teenagers are suspected of being behind it. The Acorn TV description for the series puts two questions out there: "Was the victim targeted for previous sins, or an innocent man unjustly singled out by disaffected teenagers?"

And, keeping consistent, the second season looks dead creepy, too (in a good way, of course).

Both seasons follow a different case, similar to BBC's The Missing, and you can enjoy them as a "double feature" or separately.

We're looking forward to a little armchair travel to Wales. Only wish it was under better circumstances.
